Marriage and FAQ

Crystal and I are getting married in less than a month. It's just the two of us on the beach. Then we're headed back to Tampa for a reception of sorts with friends, then to New Orleans for one with my family, and then California for one with her family.

I still get a lot of IMs from people (strangers) asking me all about my life now.

49 Katrina victims remain unidentified

What's there to say to something like this?

NEW ORLEANS - They lie in silvery airtight caskets in a rented warehouse near the Superdome or in black body bags stacked in a refrigerated truck behind an abandoned funeral-home-turned-morgue. Nearly a year after Hurricane Katrina, 49 of the storm's 1,300-plus victims in Louisiana are stuck in a kind of purgatory, with no final resting place, because their identities are still a mystery.

The anonymous souls died undignified deaths, their bodies left in muddy water for days or buried in rubble for months. Many died in the flood-leveled Ninth Ward.

Ugh. Just ugh.

If she decides to go through with this, I will be the luckiest man ever. I can sense that she's nervous and scared though. That makes me a little insecure Can you believe that? Me... insecure. First time for everything. It is a funny feeling in my tummy. For the first time in my life I don't have a back-up plan. I kind of figured that's part of jumping into a marriage -- no reservations. August 20th will be here shortly, so I guess we'll just see what we will see.
