Thank you ever so much for the link! I was just whining to my husband yesterday about how our favorite storm blogger from Katrina is gone to Europe, and how would we know what was going on? and...HERE YOU ARE! All of us here Cambridge, MA are following your posts and praying that the next few days there will pass calmly. I so appreciate your first hand reports. Stay safe.

and thank you also for the amazing work you did during Katrina.

It is always hard to get objective news from any major crisis, and international news is always filtered so much and reduced by the conflicts of local interest that it was impossible to know what was happening then. As I had several friends in NOLA at that time, and I had no way of finding out what was happening to them until they found an internet link, you provided valuable information that helped provide a detailed background not available from any other source.

Most urban dwellers spend at least four hours in traffic commuting to work everyday. They have to wake up very early to prepare for work. They are limited by the schedule mandated by their employers. The so-called rat race of urban existence is all about hurrying. All of these lead to stress and fatigue. On the other hand, home-based jobs provide relief from all these stresses. True work from home is the best alternative because it gives freedom and flexibility.
