Via Mike Tennant: A $40 million "counterterrorism" jet that is costing taxpayers at least $3.6 million this year to operate (costing $1,000 just to get it out of the hangar) is used nearly 25 percent of the time to ferry FBI Director Robert Mueller around to various personal appearances.

The NationalHomeland Security machine has never been about actual security. It's about making money.

Step 1: Find an enemy
Step 2: Scare the ever-living crap out of everyone while developing a product
Step 3: Profit

A's policy prescriptions are likely to scare the ever-living crap out of those same critics. A sample: To secure as much of our way of life as possible, we will have to use military force in the way Americans used it on the fields of Virginia and Georgia, in France and on Pacific islands, and from skies over Tokyo and Dresden.

My question would be:

why are we surprised ?

Until "we the people" demand accountability - the government wont make themselves accountable. (This is true of any country)

We let our leaders away with a lot ......
